For me, this Saturday April 27th is the true start of Spring…
Michigan opens the trout season.
After a long winter, I am ready.
However, the fishing opener weekend is always in competition with my other priorities: coaching my kids and a bunch of whirling dervishes on the soccer pitch AND my wife, Colleen’s, birthday.
So, my time on the river will have to wait.
Perhaps this is a good thing. My chances of encountering a blizzard, and high water the color of chocolate milk will go down the longer I wait.
